About

Dr. Patty Myers

"Touching Hearts & Changing Lives-One Child at a Time."

Patty has experience in PreK special needs, visual impairments, and deaf/hard-hearing. She knows the most
important person who works with a child is the parent. She works with children with additional needs, such as CP,
TBI, CVI, PDD, Autism, deaf/hard of hearing, and various ocular issues from low vision to blindness.

Patty believes that the "label" doesn't define the child. It only gives a starting point.  She brings a
wealth of info and experience "in the trenches" of working with children. Patty herself has 8 adult children, some
who were foster/adopted and two who received pediatric therapeutic services. She also has 16 grandchildren, one of which she is raising herself.

About

Heather Cox

Occupational Therapist, MOT/L

Heather Cox brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as an Occupational Therapist. Holding a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from West Virginia University, she has over 18 years of experience in both clinical settings and direct family support. Before achieving her master’s degree, Heather worked as a certified ophthalmic technician at the WVU Eye Institute. After completing her Occupational Therapy program, she returned to the Eye Institute as a therapist in the Low Vision Clinic, while also serving families in West Virginia through the West Virginia Birth to Three early intervention program during her evenings. This dual role revealed critical gaps in support for children with neuro-developmental challenges, inspiring Heather to deepen her expertise through continued education and training.

Passionate about the power of movement in fostering brain development, Heather is focused on sensory integration, bilateral integration, and brain hemispheric integration.  She is committed to a root-cause, bottom-up treatment approach. She specializes in movement-based, multi-sensory interventions that are designed to rebuild neural pathways and support delayed developmental progress. Heather’s practice is built on the philosophy that movement is crucial to brain development and learning, utilizing evidence-based methods to enhance sensory and motor system coordination.

Dedicated to empowering families to actively participate in their children’s development, Heather offers comprehensive at-home programs that provide the tools and guidance necessary for children to thrive.  She’s on a mission to prove that movement isn’t just good—it’s essential for brain development and learning, integrating cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments that sync sensory and motor systems like a perfect symphony.

Coaching families with her all-in, at-home programs, Heather arms them with knowledge and strategies that transform everyday life. Proudly rooted in West Virginia, she’s not just serving her community—she’s making it stronger, one incredible kid at a time.
